The transformative work happening within the Veterans Health Administration Innovation Ecosystem (VHA IE) is part of VA’s vital effort tackling the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic on Veterans and to the nation as a whole. That work and the future of Veteran health care is the topic of the next VHA Innovation Experience (iEX) Virtual Series event, Forging a Healthier Future: Post Pandemic Care.
As VA continues to combat the health care challenges COVID-19 presents, VHA innovators and collaborators are using tools like digital health and telemedicine to create new solutions and a new paradigm. For example, VA saw a 321-percent increase in the average weekly telehealth video encounters between Veterans and providers.
Moderated by Brynn Cole, government lead on the Reimagining Veteran Healthcare Human-Centered Design (HCD) project for VHA IE, this panel will discuss how COVID-19 has provided the opportunity to re-imagine a post-pandemic world in which we are all healthier – as individuals and entire populations. For this in-depth conversation, the panel will bring together four leaders from within VA and across industry:
Forging a Healthier Future: Post-Pandemic Care takes place at 2PM EST on September 15.
The iEX series provides Veterans and the public a unique experience to celebrate VA’s boundary breaking innovations, collaborations and technologies forging the future of Veteran health care. Register now for all the remaining 2021 iEX events, and also get access to the first event, the Breaking Boundaries Collaboration Challenge, a pitch challenge and innovation collaboration panel, and the online community platform!
